Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cold unsalted butter (cubed)
- 3/4 cup milk
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup melted butter (for brushing)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the cubed cold butter to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Pour in the milk and add the minced garlic. Stir until just combined.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently about 5-6 times until it comes together.
- Roll out the dough to about 1-inch thickness. Use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the tops with melted butter before baking.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and brush with more melted butter if desired.
