  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter (cubed)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries (hulled and chopped)
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk them together until well blended.
  • Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, egg, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the strawberries and white chocolate chips.
  • Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times until it comes together. Pat it into a circle about 1-inch thick.
  • Cut the dough into 8 wedges and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until the tops are lightly golden.
  • Allow them to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
