- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 ounces linguine or spaghetti
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Boil salted water in a large pot and cook the linguine or spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
- In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat, add garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink.
- Deglaze the pan with white wine and lemon juice, simmer for 2 minutes.
- Drain the pasta and combine it with the shrimp mixture, adding remaining butter, salt, and pepper. Garnish with parsley and serve.
Notes
- For extra spice, add more red pepper flakes.
- Make sure not to overcook the shrimp to keep them tender.
