Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
- 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Add the chopped mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until softened. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, cooked bacon and mushrooms, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined; be careful not to overmix.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared loaf pan, shaping it into a loaf. Top with shredded Swiss cheese, pressing it slightly into the meat.
- Bake for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). Let it rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
