  • Total Time: 75

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • In a skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Add the chopped mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until softened. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, cooked bacon and mushrooms, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined; be careful not to overmix.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared loaf pan, shaping it into a loaf. Top with shredded Swiss cheese, pressing it slightly into the meat.
  • Bake for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). Let it rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
