  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (hulled and sliced)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a saucepan, combine water and butter over medium heat. Stir until the butter is melted.
  • Once the mixture boils, remove it from heat and quickly stir in flour and salt until it forms a ball of dough.
  • Let the dough cool for a few minutes, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Spoon the dough into a piping bag. Pipe small circles (about 2 inches in diameter) onto the parchment paper.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until puffed and golden. Let them cool completely.
  • For the filling, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  • Once the pastry shells are cool, cut a small opening at the top and fill each with whipped cream and sliced strawberries.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
