Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large croissants (sliced in half)
- 1 cup fresh strawberries (cut into slices)
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Powdered sugar (for dusting (optional))
- Cooking spray or butter (for greasing the pan)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
- Slice the croissants in half and lay them cut-side up in the baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Add in the vanilla extract and mix well.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cut sides of the croissants, then layer the sliced strawberries on top.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and salt. Pour this mixture evenly over the croissants.
- Let it sit for about 10 minutes to soak up the egg mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until the top is golden and the egg is set. You want it to look deliciously puffy!
- Let it cool for a few minutes, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
