  • 4 large croissants (sliced in half)
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries (cut into slices)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting (optional))
  • Cooking spray or butter (for greasing the pan)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  • Slice the croissants in half and lay them cut-side up in the baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Add in the vanilla extract and mix well.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cut sides of the croissants, then layer the sliced strawberries on top.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and salt. Pour this mixture evenly over the croissants.
  • Let it sit for about 10 minutes to soak up the egg mixture.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until the top is golden and the egg is set. You want it to look deliciously puffy!
  • Let it cool for a few minutes, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
