Instructions
- Preheat your waffle maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs, and then stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Fold in the chopped strawberries gently.
- Spray the waffle maker with non-stick spray.
- Pour a ladleful of batter into the waffle maker, then spoon a dollop of the cheesecake mixture on top.
- Top with a bit more batter, close the lid, and cook according to your waffle maker’s instructions.
- Remove the waffles once golden brown and serve with whipped cream and maple syrup.
