  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • Whipped cream (for serving)
  • Maple syrup (for serving)

Instructions

  • Preheat your waffle maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs, and then stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  • Fold in the chopped strawberries gently.
  • Spray the waffle maker with non-stick spray.
  • Pour a ladleful of batter into the waffle maker, then spoon a dollop of the cheesecake mixture on top.
  • Top with a bit more batter, close the lid, and cook according to your waffle maker’s instructions.
