  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm milk (around 110°F)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup additional melted butter for brushing

Instructions

  1. Combine warm milk and yeast; let sit 5 minutes. Mix in melted butter, sugar, egg, and salt.
  2. Gradually add flour, stir until dough forms, then knead for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  4. Prepare cheesecake filling by mixing cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and strawberries.
  5. Punch down the dough and roll it out to a rectangle, brushing with melted butter.
  6. Spread cheesecake filling on dough and sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.
  7. Roll dough into a log and slice into 12 pieces; place in a greased baking dish.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool slightly and drizzle with icing or cream cheese mixture before serving.
