Ingredients

  • 1 French baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch thick slices
  • 1 cup fresh crab meat (or canned, drained)
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake baguette slices brushed with olive oil for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
  2. In a bowl, mix crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, hot sauce, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mash avocado in a bowl with salt and lemon juice.
  4. Spread mashed avocado on toasted baguette slices and top with the crab mixture.
