- 1 French baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch thick slices
- 1 cup fresh crab meat (or canned, drained)
- 1 ripe avocado
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce (adjust to taste)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake baguette slices brushed with olive oil for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
- In a bowl, mix crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, hot sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Mash avocado in a bowl with salt and lemon juice.
- Spread mashed avocado on toasted baguette slices and top with the crab mixture.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust hot sauce to your spice preference.
- Best served fresh but can be left out for a short time.
