- 6 ripe bananas (sliced)
- 1/2 cup sugar (or brown sugar for a deeper flavor)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine sliced bananas, sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Stir until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, milk, baking powder, and salt until smooth.
- Pour the banana mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Spread evenly.
- Pour the batter over the banana mixture. Do not stir – the batter will rise and form a crust while baking.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
