- 12 ounces rotini pasta
- 1 pound smoky sausage, sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Start by cooking the rotini pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir well, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Gradually add the Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Add the cooked rotini to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
