These smoky BBQ chicken thighs are juicy, flavorful, and perfect for any gathering!

  • Total Time: 90

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional, for sweetness)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and brown sugar.
  • Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and toss to coat. Cover and marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  • Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Place chicken thighs skin-side down on the grill. Cook for about 7-9 minutes until golden brown.
  • Flip the chicken and brush with more BBQ sauce. Grill for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  • Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
