Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds beef tips (chuck or sirloin work well)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic (about 3-4 cloves)
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Begin by patting the beef tips dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1/4 cup of the butter. Once melted, add the beef tips in batches, browning them for about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Transfer the browned beef tips to your slow cooker. Add the minced garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and the remaining butter cut into pieces.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. The beef should be tender and easily shredded with a fork.
- Once cooked, taste and adjust seasonings as needed. If you want a thicker sauce, you can remove the lid and let it cook for an additional 30 minutes on high.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
