To make these indulgent sliders, you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • 3 pounds beef short ribs
  • 1 cup bourbon
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Slider buns
  • Coleslaw (for topping, optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the beef short ribs with salt and pepper.
  2. Brown the ribs on all sides in a hot skillet.
  3. Mix bourbon, beef broth, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder in a bowl.
  4. Place browned ribs in a slow cooker and pour the sauce over them. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
  5. Shred the beef after cooking, discarding bones and excess fat.
  6. Assemble the sliders with shredded beef on buns, adding coleslaw if desired.

Notes

  • For added flavor, browning the ribs is recommended, but can be skipped if short on time.
  • Coleslaw is optional but adds a nice crunch to the sliders.
