To make these indulgent sliders, you’ll need the following ingredients:
- 3 pounds beef short ribs
- 1 cup bourbon
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Slider buns
- Coleslaw (for topping, optional)
Instructions
- Season the beef short ribs with salt and pepper.
- Brown the ribs on all sides in a hot skillet.
- Mix bourbon, beef broth, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder in a bowl.
- Place browned ribs in a slow cooker and pour the sauce over them. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
- Shred the beef after cooking, discarding bones and excess fat.
- Assemble the sliders with shredded beef on buns, adding coleslaw if desired.
Notes
- For added flavor, browning the ribs is recommended, but can be skipped if short on time.
- Coleslaw is optional but adds a nice crunch to the sliders.
