- 1 pound of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 cups of fresh pineapple, cut into chunks
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of ground ginger
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Wooden or metal skewers
Instructions
- Gather ingredients and soak wooden skewers in water if using.
- Mix olive oil, soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper in a bowl to create the marinade.
- Marinate shrimp in the marinade for at least 15 minutes.
- Cut pineapple into chunks about 1 to 2 inches in size.
- Assemble skewers by alternating shrimp and pineapple chunks.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C).
- Grill skewers for 2-3 minutes on each side until shrimp are pink and opaque.
- Serve warm, optionally garnished with fresh herbs.
Notes
- For best flavor, use fresh shrimp and ripe pineapple.
- Soaking wooden skewers prevents them from burning on the grill.
