  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up as well.
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer it to a pizza peel or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the dough, then spread the ricotta cheese evenly across the surface. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.
  • Evenly distribute the crumbled sausage over the ricotta layer, followed by the shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Once out of the oven, drizzle the pizza with honey and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
