- 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 cups brown sugar (packed)
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup salted caramel sauce
- to taste sea salt (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and brown sugar. Mix well until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, stirring until fully incorporated.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Pour half of the blondie batter into the prepared baking dish. Spread it evenly.
- Drizzle half of the salted caramel sauce on top. Use a knife to swirl it into the batter.
- Pour the remaining batter over the caramel layer and repeat the process with the remaining caramel sauce.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, sprinkle sea salt on top while still warm. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
