Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, sugar, and instant yeast. Stir to combine.
- Add warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until a sticky dough forms.
- Incorporate minced garlic and chopped rosemary into the dough. Knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Once risen, punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Let the dough rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Optional: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top before baking.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Tap the bottom of the loaf; if it sounds hollow, it’s done!
- Allow it to cool slightly before slicing. Enjoy warm!
