- 1 can of cherry pie filling
- 1 package of pre-made puff pastry (2 sheets)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon of sugar (optional, for sprinkling)
- Flour (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Lightly dust the work surface with flour and roll out the puff pastry sheets to about ¼ inch thick.
- Cut the pastry into 3×3 inch squares.
- Place a tablespoon of cherry pie filling in the center of each square.
- Fold the corners of each square toward the center and pinch the edges to seal.
- Brush the egg wash over each pastry and sprinkle with sugar if desired.
- Bake on a lined baking sheet for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
