- 8 oz pasta (penne or rotini work great)
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers (any color)
- 1/2 cup sliced black olives
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Fresh basil (for garnish (optional))
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the marinara sauce and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the cooked pasta, half of the cheese, pepperoni, bell peppers, olives, and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake for about 25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before garnishing with fresh basil, if desired.
