Delightful rolls filled with whipped cream flavored with rosewater and pistachios.

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup pistachios (finely chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon rosewater
  • powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and salt. Gradually add milk and melted butter, stirring until a dough forms.
  • On a floured surface, knead the dough lightly. Roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  • In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Fold in the chopped pistachios and rosewater.
  • Spread the cream mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough.
  • Starting from one end, carefully roll the dough into a log. Slice the log into 1-inch rolls.
  • Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let the rolls cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
