- 6 cups of peeled and sliced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work best)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Toss sliced apples with lemon juice, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a large bowl.
- In another bowl, mix oats, brown sugar, and flour, then add butter and mix until crumbly.
- Pour the apple mixture into a greased baking dish and top with the oat mixture.
- Bake for 45 minutes until the topping is golden and apples are bubbly.
