Instructions
- Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add flour, salt, and olive oil; stir to form dough and knead for 5-7 minutes.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour until doubled.
- Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C).
- Punch down the dough, divide into four parts, and roll each into a 10-inch round.
- Bake each round on parchment-lined sheets for 10-12 minutes until golden; cool on a wire rack.
- Layer pizza: sauce, cheese, and pepperoni; repeat for remaining layers.
- Bake assembled cake for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted.
