Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- optional 1/2 cup chopped nuts or cookie crumbs for topping
Instructions
- Prepare an 8-inch square baking dish by lining it with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk over low heat. Stir constantly until melted and smooth, about 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
- Pour half of the chocolate mixture into the prepared dish, spreading it evenly.
- In another bowl, mix the creamy peanut butter with the remaining chocolate mixture until well combined.
- Pour the peanut butter mixture over the chocolate layer in the dish. Use a spatula to spread it evenly.
- Pour the remaining chocolate mixture on top of the peanut butter layer. Use a knife to swirl the mixtures together gently.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm. Once set, lift the fudge out using the parchment overhang and cut into squares.
