  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup diced fresh peaches (or canned peaches, drained)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for cheesecake filling)
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • In another bowl, mix the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently.
  • Fold in the diced peaches.
  • Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let the donuts cool for a few minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese with powdered sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Fill the cooled donuts with the cheesecake mixture.
  • Mix sugar and cinnamon together. Roll the filled donuts in the mixture.
