Ingredients
Scale
- 4 medium russet potatoes
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh herbs for garnish (like parsley or chives)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This ensures your potatoes cook evenly and get that crispy skin.
- Wash the potatoes thoroughly under cold water. Scrub away any dirt, then dry them with a towel.
- Pierce each potato several times with a fork. This allows steam to escape while they bake, preventing any explosions!
- Rub each potato with olive oil, then sprinkle them generously with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Roll the potatoes in the parmesan cheese until they are completely coated. This is where the magic happens!
- Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack or on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 45-60 minutes, or until the potatoes are fork-tender. You’ll know they’re done when the skin is crispy and golden brown.
- Remove the potatoes from the oven and let them cool slightly. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
