Deliciously sweet pan fried bananas with a hint of cinnamon. Perfect for breakfast or a tasty dessert!

  • Total Time: 10

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe bananas sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter (or coconut oil for a dairy-free option)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar (or maple syrup for a healthier twist)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch salt

Instructions

  • Start by melting the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Let it bubble slightly, but make sure it doesn’t burn.
  • Once the butter is melted, add the sliced bananas to the pan. Cook for about 2 minutes on one side until golden brown.
  • Carefully flip the banana slices and sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon over them. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until they are caramelized and coated in the sugar mixture.
  • If you’re using vanilla extract, add it now for an extra layer of flavor. Stir gently to combine.
  • Remove from heat and serve warm. You can top them with a sprinkle of salt to enhance the flavor.
