- 1 large head green cabbage
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (for drizzling, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This ensures a nice, crispy texture.
- Remove the outer leaves of the cabbage and slice it into 1-inch thick steaks. You should get about 4-6 steaks from one head.
- In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Brush both sides of each cabbage steak with the garlic oil mixture. Make sure they’re well-coated!
- Place the cabbage steaks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Roast in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through. They should be golden brown and crispy around the edges.
- If desired, drizzle with balsamic vinegar before serving for an extra flavor kick.
