Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Whisk egg, cream, orange zest, and vanilla; add to dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Knead the dough lightly, shape it into a circle, and cut into wedges or shapes.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden.
- Cool for 5 minutes, then glaze with powdered sugar and orange juice if desired.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use fresh orange juice in the glaze.
- These cookies are best enjoyed the same day they are baked.
