- 12 oz pasta (fettuccine or penne works well)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Fresh parsley for garnish
- 1 cup sautéed mushrooms or spinach (optional)
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the pasta, broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and simmer for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally until the pasta is cooked and has absorbed most of the liquid.
- Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Mix well until creamy and smooth.
- If using, add sautéed mushrooms or spinach for extra flavor and nutrients.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy!
