- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/2 cup Nutella
- to taste butter or oil for cooking
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk them together until well mixed.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and melted butter until blended.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined. The batter will be a bit lumpy — that’s okay!
- Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or oil.
- Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, or until you see bubbles forming on the surface.
- Once the bubbles have formed, add about a tablespoon of Nutella in the center of the pancake and cover it with a bit more batter (about another tablespoon).
- Flip the pancake carefully and cook for another 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- Repeat the process with the remaining batter. Keep the pancakes warm in a low oven while you finish cooking the rest.
