Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups crushed graham crackers
- ½ cup unsalted butter melted
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 16 oz cream cheese (softened)
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups whipped cream (or whipped topping)
- 2 cups fresh strawberries (sliced)
- ½ cup strawberry preserves (optional)
Instructions
- Start by preparing the crust. In a bowl, mix the crushed graham crackers, melted butter, and granulated sugar until well combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×9-inch baking dish to form an even layer. Refrigerate while you prepare the filling.
- For the filling, beat the softened cream cheese in a large bowl until smooth and creamy. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
- Gently fold in the whipped cream until the mixture is light and fluffy. This step is crucial for that airy texture!
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the chilled crust in the baking dish, smoothing it out evenly. Refrigerate the bars for at least 4 hours or until firm.
- Once set, remove the bars from the fridge. Top with fresh strawberries and drizzle strawberry preserves if desired. Slice into squares and enjoy!
