  • 12 rolls Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend)
  • 4 tablespoons butter, softened
  • optional sliced ham or turkey for added protein
  • optional garlic powder or herbs for extra flavor

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half, keeping them connected.
  • Spread butter on the cut sides of each roll.
  • Layer the shredded cheese evenly on the bottom half of the rolls.
  • Cover with the top half of the rolls and place in a baking dish.
  • Brush the tops with a bit more butter and sprinkle garlic powder or herbs.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
