  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups peeled, diced apples
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • In another bowl, mix melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • Fold in the diced apples and brown sugar until evenly distributed.
  • Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  • Drizzle the maple glaze over the cooled bread before slicing.
