  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (Panko recommended)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • for frying Cooking oil (olive oil preferred)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This ensures perfect cooking.
  • In one bowl, mix breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • In a second bowl, whisk the eggs. In a third bowl, combine Dijon mustard and maple syrup.
  • Coat each chicken breast in flour, then dip in egg, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mix.
  • Heat about 1/4 inch of oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Fry the cutlets for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Transfer to a baking sheet and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes.
  • Drizzle with remaining Maple Dijon sauce before serving.
