- 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (Panko recommended)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- to taste Salt and pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- for frying Cooking oil (olive oil preferred)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This ensures perfect cooking.
- In one bowl, mix breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In a second bowl, whisk the eggs. In a third bowl, combine Dijon mustard and maple syrup.
- Coat each chicken breast in flour, then dip in egg, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mix.
- Heat about 1/4 inch of oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Fry the cutlets for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Transfer to a baking sheet and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes.
- Drizzle with remaining Maple Dijon sauce before serving.
