Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 oz bacon, chopped
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cups frozen tater tots
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and let it drain on paper towels, leaving the bacon grease in the skillet.
- Add the diced onion to the skillet and sauté for about 3-5 minutes until it becomes translucent.
- Stir in the ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula. Add the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned, about 7-10 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture, sour cream, and milk. Stir until well mixed.
- In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spread half of the tater tots evenly on the bottom.
- Pour the beef and sour cream mixture over the tater tots, then top with the remaining tater tots.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top, followed by the crispy bacon pieces.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.
