- 4–5 lbs turkey breast (bone-in and skin-on)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
- 1 medium lemon (sliced)
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary (chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried))
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme (chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried))
- to taste Salt and pepper
- 1 cup chicken broth (for basting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Place the turkey breast in a roasting pan. Carefully loosen the skin on the turkey breast and rub half of the garlic lemon mixture directly onto the meat. Spread the remaining mixture over the skin.
- Arrange lemon slices on top of the turkey breast and pour the chicken broth into the bottom of the pan.
- Roast in the preheated oven for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Baste every 30 minutes with the pan juices.
- Once cooked, remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing. Enjoy your delicious creation!
