- 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 whole lemon, juiced and zested
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- to taste salt and pepper
- for garnish fresh parsley
- optional red pepper flakes for heat
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and dried oregano.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side.
- Reduce heat to medium, add butter and garlic, and sauté for about a minute.
- Pour in lemon juice and zest, stirring to combine and let simmer.
- Return chicken to the skillet and coat it well in the sauce, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with parsley and red pepper flakes before serving.
