- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon zested and juiced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the orzo according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and olive oil together.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Toss in the asparagus pieces and cook for about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the cooked orzo, lemon zest, and lemon juice to the skillet.
- Stir everything together to coat the orzo evenly.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
