Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb beef (flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon ginger (grated)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 cup carrots (sliced)
- 1 cup bell peppers (sliced)
- Green onions and sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch. Mix until smooth. This will be your marinade.
- Add the sliced beef to the marinade, cover, and let it sit for about 15 minutes. This helps the flavors penetrate the meat.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently until the beef is browned and cooked through.
- Add the broccoli, carrots, and bell peppers to the pan. Stir-fry for another 3-5 minutes until the veggies are tender but still crisp.
- Serve the beef and veggies over cooked rice. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy your Korean Beef Bowls!
