Ingredients

  • 1 pound of flank steak
  • 2 cups of cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 1/4 cup of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • Green onions, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate flank steak in a mixture of soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and gochujang for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Cook the marinated steak on a grill or skillet for 5-7 minutes per side, then let it rest before slicing.
  3. Assemble bowls with cooked rice, sliced steak, julienned carrots, and cucumber. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
