- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup key lime juice
- 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 8 oz package cream cheese
- 8-10 crushed graham crackers
- Lime zest for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, continuing to whip until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
- In another bowl, blend the cream cheese until smooth. Slowly add the sweetened condensed milk and key lime juice, mixing until well combined.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the key lime mixture until fully incorporated.
- In a clear trifle dish or individual glasses, start with a layer of crushed graham crackers, followed by a layer of the key lime mixture. Repeat layers until you reach the top.
- Cover the trifle and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight). This helps the flavors meld beautifully.
- Just before serving, top with lime zest and additional whipped cream if desired.
