A delicious low-carb spin on the classic Philly cheesesteak, wrapped in lettuce for a healthy twist!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef (like ribeye or sirloin)
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced (use any color you like)
  • 1/2 cup onion, sliced
  • 1 cup provolone or mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
  • 4 large lettuce leaves (for wrapping)

Instructions

  • Start by heating the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the sliced onions and bell peppers to the skillet. Sauté until they’re soft, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Push the veggies to the side of the skillet, then add the beef. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  • Cook the beef until browned, stirring occasionally, about 8-10 minutes.
  • Once the beef is cooked, stir in the cheese until melted. Remove from heat.
  • Lay out the lettuce leaves and spoon the beef mixture onto the leaves.
  • Roll up the leaves tightly, securing with toothpicks if necessary.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!
