Ingredients
Scale
Here’s what you’ll need to create this savory delight:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 slices of prosciutto
- 8 fresh sage leaves
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup of white wine (or chicken broth for a non-alcoholic version)
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Flatten the chicken breasts between plastic wrap using a meat mallet until they’re about 1/2 inch thick.
- Season both sides with salt and pepper, then lay two slices of prosciutto on each breast and top with a sage leaf.
- Coat the chicken lightly in flour, shaking off any excess.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, add chicken (prosciutto side down), and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Pour in white wine (or broth) and simmer for 2 minutes to create a sauce.
Notes
- For a non-alcoholic version, use chicken broth instead of white wine.
- Serve with fresh lemon wedges for added flavor.
