A quick and flavorful chicken dish with a sweet and spicy glaze.

  • Total Time: 30

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless chicken thighs (or breasts)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust for heat preference)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish (optional))

Instructions

  • Start by marinating the chicken. In a bowl, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Mix well.
  • Add the chicken to the marinade. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes. If you have more time, an hour is even better!
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken, reserving the marinade.
  • Cook the chicken for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F and is golden brown.
  • Pour the reserved marinade into the skillet. Let it bubble and thicken for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove the chicken from heat and drizzle with the thickened sauce. Garnish with chopped green onions, if desired.
