Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound boneless chicken thighs (cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 1 cup jasmine rice (or brown rice for a healthier option)
- 2 tablespoons hot honey
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Chopped green onions (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Start by cooking the rice according to package instructions. If using jasmine rice, it usually takes about 15 minutes.
- In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and season them with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cook the chicken for about 6-8 minutes or until browned and cooked through. Stir occasionally to avoid sticking.
- Once the chicken is cooked, reduce the heat to low and add the hot honey and soy sauce. Stir to coat the chicken evenly.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- To serve, place a generous scoop of rice in a bowl and top it with the hot honey chicken. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
