A delicious and easy-to-make rice bowl featuring tender chicken in a spicy-sweet hot honey sauce, served over fluffy rice.

  • Total Time: 30

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless chicken thighs (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 1 cup jasmine rice (or brown rice for a healthier option)
  • 2 tablespoons hot honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Start by cooking the rice according to package instructions. If using jasmine rice, it usually takes about 15 minutes.
  • In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and season them with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Cook the chicken for about 6-8 minutes or until browned and cooked through. Stir occasionally to avoid sticking.
  • Once the chicken is cooked, reduce the heat to low and add the hot honey and soy sauce. Stir to coat the chicken evenly.
  • Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  • To serve, place a generous scoop of rice in a bowl and top it with the hot honey chicken. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
