Delicious salmon skewers marinated in a sweet and savory honey soy glaze, perfect for grilling!

  • Total Time: 38

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound salmon fillet (cut into 1-inch cubes)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger (grated)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
  • Skewers (soaked in water if wooden)
  • Fresh herbs (for garnish, like cilantro or green onions)

Instructions

  • Soak your skewers in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, olive oil, ginger, garlic, and rice vinegar.
  • Add the salmon cubes to the bowl, ensuring they are well-coated in the marinade. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the fridge.
  • Once marinated, thread the salmon onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each cube.
  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grill grates.
  • Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until the salmon is cooked through.
  • Brush with any leftover marinade during the last minute of cooking for extra flavor.
  • Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
