A delightful and quick shrimp dish marinated in a sweet and tangy honey lime sauce, perfect for busy weeknights!

  • Total Time: 25

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp (peeled and deveined (fresh or thawed if frozen))
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup lime juice (freshly squeezed is best)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a kick)
  • Fresh cilantro (for garnish)

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, lime juice, olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
  • Add the shrimp to the bowl. Toss until they're evenly coated in the marinade. Let it marinate in the fridge for about 15 minutes.
  • While the shrimp marinates, preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Once hot, add the shrimp (discard the marinade) and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
